Funeral services for Arzina “Faye” Herring, an Atoka, OK resident, were held Tuesday, July 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Blackjack Baptist Church in Atoka with Shane Hamilton officiating. Burial was in New Zion Cemetery in Tushka, OK with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Herring was born January 24, 1938 to Clem and Mamie (Rollins) Orum at Phoenix, AZ and passed away June 29, 2024 at Atoka, OK at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 5 days.

She attended schools all over and graduated from high school.

Faye married Raymond Herring April 10, 1956 at Wichita, TX and retired from Blue Bell in Coalgate as an Inspector. Faye was a member of the Blackjack Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, canning and keeping her boys in line. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her sisters and grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Jerry Herring, Shriver Herring and wife Tammy all of Blackjack, OK, James Herring and wife Denna of Bentley, OK and Clifford Herring of Backjack, OK; sister, Evelyn Hurley of Chickasha, OK; thirteen grandchildren; twentysix great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clem and Mamie (Rollins) Orum; husband, Raymond; brother and sisters, Herbert Orum, Berthy Hurley and Dorothy Brown.

Casketbearers were Dalton Herring, Asa Herring, Levi Herring, Shane Herring, BJ Haggard, Stetson Herring, William Head and Kanden Herring.
