Funeral services for Coy Dean Marlow, a lifelong Atoka resident, were held Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Lane Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Murray officiating. Burial was in Butler Cemetery in Lane, Oklahoma with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Marlow was born June 15, 1944 to Floyd Clifton and May (Cromwell) Marlow at Atoka and passed away March 21, 2023 at his home in Atoka at the age of 78 years, 9 months and 6 days. He graduated from Atoka High School and then went on to attend SOSU where he received his Bachelor of Science. He then received his Medical Technology license from Valley View Hospital in Ada, OK. Coy later received his Doctorate Degree of Pharmacy at OU. Coy was a Medical Technologist and a Pharmacist. He worked many years as a hospital pharmacist and also worked as a retail pharmacist His favorite work was as a rancher. Coy married Carol (Sheffield) on April 15, 1965 at Lane, OK. He was a member of Lane Baptist Church and enjoyed ranching and his cattle, gardening, history, reading, watching western movies, going to the sale barn and loved OU sports. Coy loved keeping up with his grandkids and most recently his great grandkids. Survivors include his daughters, Traci Prince and husband Calvin of Stonewall, OK, Misty Harvey and husband Jay, Julie Chavers and husband Russ all of Atoka; son, Derek Marlow and fiance` Scarlett of Atoka; mother of his children, Carol Clemens of Atoka; grandchildren, Cale Prince and wife Brecca of Ada, Tryce Prince and wife Erin of Chicago, IL, Spencer Harvey of Durant, Jared Harvey, Jordan Chavers, Sara Chavers, all of Atoka, Triston Marlow, Zeak Marlow, both of Coalgate; 4 great-grandchildren, Brecklynn Prince, Hollis Prince, Nanyori Prince, Hadassah Prince; nieces and nephews, Woody King and wife Kerri, Randy King and wife Kelly, Wade Marlow, all of Atoka, Kent Marlow and wife Stacey of Talahassee, FL, Amber McDaniel of Caney, OK and Cody Marlow of Durant, along with numerous greatnieces, great-nephews and other relatives and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Mary (Cromwell) Marlow; brother, Wayne Marlow and wife, Jackie Marlow and sister, Edna King and husband Don King. Casketbearers were Cale Prince, Tryce Prince, Spencer Harvey, Jared Harvey, Triston Marlow, Zeak Marlow, Jordan Chavers, Sara Chavers, Greg Yarbrough, and Monica Alexander.
