Funeral services for Linda Lou (Franklin) Thorpe, a Hartshorne resident, will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Lehigh Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Magby officiating. Burial will be in Lehigh Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday, March 4, 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Lunch will be served to the family before the service Friday at the church.
Mrs. Thorpe was born September 13, 1963 to Leroy Gordon and Juanita Marie (Cottrell) Franklin at Coalgate, OK and passed away March 1, 2021 at Ft. Smith, AR at the age of 57 years, 5 months and 16 days. She attended Lehigh and Coalgate Schools and graduated from Coalgate High School. Linda married Johnthan Robert Thorpe February 19, 2000 at Dallas, TX and was a housewife. She was a member of the Hartshorne Baptist Church and enjoyed crafting, reading, camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Johnthan Robert Thorpe of the home in Hartshorne; daughters, Kristy Franklin of Coalgate and Tamra Lee and husband Nick of Cottonwood; son, Daniel Roebuck and wife Amanda of Coalgate; grandchildren, Trevor Franklin, Dakota Horn, Joe Horn, Brent Johnson, Trista Horn, Taci Lee, Ever Roebuck and Dash Roebuck; sisters, Sandra Kay Yarbrough, Carolyn Sue Yarbrough, both of Lehigh and Nancy Marie Johnson and husband Billy of Coalgate; brothers, David Roy Franklin of Olney and Ronald Dean Franklin and wife Rhonda of Lehigh; along with numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Gordon and Juanita Marie (Cottrell) Franklin.
Casketbearers will be Buddy Cottrell, Bo Franklin, Roy Yarbrough, Dylan Franklin, Dino Franklin and Lucas Franklin. Serving as honorary casketbearers will be Billy Johnson, Nick Lee and Willard Delozier.
