Mark Long

A Celebration of Life service for Mark Douglas Long, a Lula resident, was held Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Lula, OK with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Long was born October 16, 1952 to Richard Douglas and Patricia Ann (House) Long at Victorville, CA and passed away November 20, 2019 at Coalgate at the age of 67 years, 1 month and 4 days. He graduated in 1970 from South High School in Bakersfi eld, CA and was a heavy equipment operator for Granite Construction for many years before retiring in 2000. Mark was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 12 Union. He was a dog lover and enjoyed riding and training horses and going to the lake. Mark was a PRCA Roper, a Team Roper and he enjoyed watching the NFL and NASCAR, but liked to watch all sports. He enjoyed playing softball with his girls and his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughters, Rebecca Waters and husband Michael of Allen, OK and Jami Gragg and husband Steve of Ada, OK; grandchildren, Brianna Waters, Michael Waters, of Allen, OK and Joshua Gragg, Kaylee Gragg and Brook Gragg all of Ada; sisters, Julie Long and Christy Barnard and husband B. B. of Bakersfi eld, CA; nephew, Chad Miller and wife Patty of Bakersfi eld, CA; niece, Megan Smith and husband Micah of Litchfi eld, AZ; along with numerous other dearly loved family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parent, Richard and Patricia (House) Long.
