Funeral services for Margie (Plumley) Foster, a longtime Bromide resident, will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Rev. Tim Carter officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Wapanucka with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements. Family night will be Thursday evening, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Foster was born December 18, 1936 to Edward and Ora Bell (Taylor) Plumley at Sabinal, TX and passed away February 15, 2025 at Coalgate at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 28 days. She attended high school and was a homemaker, worked for Madill Manufacturing Co., the Trolley Cafe, Kelli’s Kitchen and The Wagon Wheel in Wapanucka.

Margie married Medford Lee “Pete” Foster December 8, 1954 at Oklahoma City. They spent 52 wonderful years together before his passing in 2006. Margie was of the Baptist faith. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Margie enjoyed traveling, cooking and was always cooking for all of her family and friends. She enjoyed going to the casinos, dancing, riding motorcycles and loved life to the fullest.

Survivors include her children, Kim Wood of Ada, Steve Foster and wife Lisa of Bromide, Kelli Brooks and husband Tommy of Wapanucka, Stacy and Kim Foster, and Kristi Green, all of Bromide; longtime companion,Jerry Nay of Grove, OK; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-four greatgrandchildren; one great-greatg randchild; brothers, Pete Plumley, Gene Plumley and wife Leslie and Ronnie Plumley, all of Oklahoma City; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Lee and Ora Bell (Taylor) Plumley; daughters, Debbie Parnell, Angel Sartin and Lisa Foster; sister, Edna Inman; brother, Joe Plumley; sons-in-law, Pat Wood, Denny Hilburn and Guy Sartin.

Casketbearers will be Kyle Foster, Travis Hilburn, Kevin Wood, Wes Sartin, Kendel Foster, and Tegan Davidson. Honorary bearers will be all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and Willie Bill Kirkpatrick.
