Linda Fay (Bowers) Daffern

Funeral services for Linda Fay (Bowers) Daffern, a Tupelo resident, were held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with John D’Aguanno officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Mrs. Daffern was born November 24, 1949 to Elbert and Loreda Carrie (Henry) Bowers at Ada, OK and passed away June 14, 2023 at Ada, OK at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 21 days. She graduated from Stonewall High School and attended some college. She was a loving home maker and married Charles Richard Daffern. He preceded her in death. Linda was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed reading, traveling, cruises and casinos. Her favorite times were spent with her family especially loving on her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Gabriel Wayne Daffern and wife Julianne of Olney, OK, Kale Hicks Flordelis and husband Tim of Yucaipa, CA, Richard Lee Daffern and wife Melody of Eaglestown, OK, Amanda Nicole Daffern and husband Dustin Grigg of Tupelo, OK; grandchildren, Lyndsay Hamer, Tyler Daffern, Tyler Flordelis, Lyda Flordelis, Julie Garcia, Isaiah Daffern, Reese Daffern, Madyson Daffern, Wyatt Grigg, Wade Grigg and Kelsie Davis; eight great-grandchildren; close cousins, Lynnann Worcester and husband Kevin of Ada, OK, Mike Henry and wife Rosemary of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Richard Daffern and parents, Elbert and Loreda Carrie (Henry) Bowers.
