Johnny Lee Williams

Johnny Lee Williams, a longtime Caney, OK resident, passed away February 7, 2024 at Caney at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 29 days. He was born October 9, 1948 to Elbert James and Martha Florence (Syler) Williams at Pittsburg, OK.

Johnny graduated from Atoka High School and proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He married Audrey Kay (Worlein) May 20, 1994 at Denison, TX. They celebrated 16 years of marriage before her passing on October 2, 2020. Johnny was a mechanic at Dayton Tires. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and watching westerns, especially Gunsmoke.

Survivors include his brothers, Harold Williams and wife Pauline of Atoka, Charles Williams and wife Verna of Henricks, OK, Clifford Williams of Tuskahoma, OK and Jimmy Williams of Coalgate; special friends, Peggy McBride, Tyler McBride and wife Kristina, all of Caney, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert James and Martha Florence (Syler) Williams; wife, Audrey Williams; and siblings, Kenneth Williams, Hazel Colby, Rita Turner, Anthony Williams, and Larry Williams.
