Janet Marlene Gibson

Janet Marlene (Kinsey) Gibson, of Coalgate, passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2023. She was born January 4, 1952 to Marvin F. Kinsey and Phoebe A. Rumley. Janet married Thomas L. Gibson March 12, 1971. He preceded her in death . Tom and Janet had two sons together.

Janet worked as a CNA and CMA for many years. She was a woman that did many things in her life, but the most important thing to her was her family. If you knew her you knew this, “Janet marched to the beat of her own drum”, and that’s only one of the things that made her so special. She was a daughter, a sister, an aunt, niece, and cousin. But most importantly she was a wife, mother, grandma, a mother-in-law and friend. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her sons, Marvin Gibson and wife Carla of Coalgate and John Gibson and wife Nikki of Mustang, OK; grandchildren, Hailey Gibson, Madison Gibson, Devin Gibson, Hagen Gibson and Aubrey Gibson of Coalgate and Ashlyn TrueLove, Kaden TrueLove, and Kody TrueLove all of Mustang, OK; two brothers, Marvin R. Kinsey of Mustang, OK and Charles O. Kinsey of Tupelo, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin F. Kinsey and Phoebe A. Rumley; husband, Thomas L. Gibson; sisters, Anna Aurice Davenport and Winona J. Bolton; and daughter-in-law, Andrea Gibson.
