Jack Alva Rice

Jack Alva Rice, an Atoka, OK resident passed away January 30, 2024 at Durant, OK at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 19 days. He was born February 11, 1942 to Uel and Sammy Lee (Everett) Rice at Coalgate, OK. Jack graduated from Atoka High School with the class of 1960 and was the owner and operator of Rice Trucking. He married Yvonne (Donnell) April 6, 1964 at Atoka County. Jack enjoyed driving his truck.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Rice of the home in Atoka; sisters, Sandra Rice of Atoka and Nancy Smith and husband Johnny of Durant; nephews, Jonathan Rice of Dallas, TX, and Jack Smith and wife Kathy of Plano, TX; niece, Jodie Rice of Florida; truck driving buddies, JD Lang and Haskell Cook, both of Atoka.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Uel and Sammy Lee (Everett) Rice; brother, Joe Rice and sister-in-law, Jimmie Darnell.
