Gayle (Taylor) Barnes

Funeral services for Teresa Gayle (Taylor) Barnes, a Coalgate resident, were held Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Kurtis Stoll officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Barnes was born April 15, 1951 to Howard Clifton and Leola Mae (McCall) Taylor at Duncan, OK and passed away May 5, 2023 at Tulsa, OK at the age of 72 years and 20 days. She graduated from Comanche High School and married Audley Preston Barnes, Jr. June 1, 1969 at Comanche, OK. Teresa was a homemaker and housewife. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Calvin, OK and a member of Sisters on the Fly which is a traveling RV group. Teresa enjoyed crafting, camping, trail riding, and anything outdoors. Her favorite times were spent with her grand babies.

Survivors include her husband, Audley Preston Barnes, Jr. of the home of Coalgate; daughters, Traci Boehm and husband Kyle of Longview, TX and Kristal Scott and husband Ben of Mannford, OK; grandchildren, Coby Normile and wife Cassie, Hali Ray and husband Rob, Tanner Scott and wife Kassandra, Emily Mills and husband Kolbin, Kaleb Boehm and wife Ashley, Hannah Goff and husband Jared, Jaydin Boehm and Taegan Boehm; greatgrandchildren, Kalyber Scott, Jaxson Overturf, Remi Scott, Asa Goff, Ledger Goff, Bodhi Mills, and Creed Ray; brother, Clif Taylor and wife Lisa of Comanche, OK; sister, Karla Jones and husband Richard of Duncan, OK; best friend, Carol Roland of Coalgate; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Clifton and Leola Mae (McCall) Taylor; and grandson, Jordan Boehm.

Honorary casketbearers were Rick Eddings, Tanner Scott, Kaleb Boehm, Coby Normile, Jaydin Boehm, and Taegan Boehm.
