Funeral services for Gary Lynn Kelly a Boswell resident, formerly a lifelong Lane and Atoka resident, will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2023 (today) at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Bro. Wendell Ingram officiating. Burial will be in Butler Cemetery in Lane with Brown’s Funeral Service of Atoka in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Kelly was born July 23, 1952 to Ellen Jelean Stacy at Sayre, OK and passed away at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 28 days October 21, 2023 at his home in Boswell surrounded by his loved ones. He attended Lane Public School and married Dolly Wilson in March 1992 at Coalgate. They celebrated 31 years of marriage before his passing. Gary was a rancher, high liner and a trucker. He was baptized at Riverside Unity Church in Boswell. Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting, raising his cattle and being with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Dolly Kelly of the home in Boswell, OK; son, Richard Evans and wife Karla of Asoka; daughters, Crystal Evans of Coalgate, Kanette Madden, Pamela Frailicks and husband John, all of Bentley, OK; grandchildren, Briley Evans, Bailey Evans both of Atoka, Alyssa Ott and husband Gaven of Coalgate, Emily Coffman of Farris, OK, Nicholas Coffman of Coalgate, Kelsey Kelly of Caney, Kali Madden and Kolton Madden, both of Bentley, Lacey Hall and husband Justin of Atoka; stepson, Jeremy Crow and wife Teaha and daughter Teleah of Boswell; great grandchildren, Kendyl, Kyleigh, Kayden, Amelia, Isabella, Teagan, Guhner and Ellie; brother, Kenneth Kelly and wife Ladell of Guymon, OK; mom that raised him, Georgie Yates of Lane; brothers, Tommy Yates and Terry Yates; sisters, Jan Chavers, and Lorretta Reeves; halfbrother, Dewayne Maulden and wife Sandy of Guymon, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Jelean (Stacy) Messer; son, Thomas Leon Kelly; sister, Liz; dad, Leon Yates; brother, Wayne Yates; and grandson, Ryan Frailicks.
Casketbearers will be Tommy Yates, Terry Yates, John Frailicks, Kevin Nave, Larry Hunter, and Ted Thompson. Serving as honorary bearers will be Kendall Lane, Jessie Honeycutt, Bryan Akard, Sam Shoemake, Brent Durant, David Durant and Teagan Hall.
