Freda Joyce Jones

Graveside services for Freda Joyce (Lanoy) Sevier Jones, a Lehigh resident, were held Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Moore Cemetery in Clarita, OK with Bro. Claude Lovett officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jones was born August 25, 1944 to Clemo and Bertha (Thompson) Lanoy at Coalgate, OK and passed away January 1, 2024 at her home in Lehigh, OK at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 7 days. She attended Eastside Coalgate Schools and married Jack Sevier. After his passing she married David Jones who also preceded her in death. Freda was a cake decorator at Khulman’s and Sonny’s Grocery Stores. She enjoyed going on the truck with her husband Jack. Her most special times were spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Larry Sevier and wife Glenda of Lehigh; grandsons, Jonathan Sevier of Coalgate and Dusty Sevier and girlfriend Laura of Tulsa, OK; granddaughter, Misty Powell and husband William of Lane, OK; greatgrandchildren, Lilly Sevier, Emma Sevier and Elizabeth Sevier; sister, Dorothy Ennis and husband Virgil of Wardville, OK.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Sevier and David Jones; parents, Clemo and Bertha (Thompson) Lanoy; son Jimmy Dale Sevier; daughterin- law, Robin Sevier; grandson, Dakota Sevier; sister, Winfred Hunt and brothers, Edward Lanoy, Henry Lanoy, Frank Lanoy, Leroy Lanoy and Alfred Lanoy.

Casketbearers were Jonathan Sevier, Dusty Sevier, John Ballard, Robert Hampton, William Powell and Christopher Talley.
