Donnie Ray Shores

A celebration service will be held at a later date for Donnie Ray Shores, a Coalgate resident, who passed away November 3, 2020 at Coalgate at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 4 days. He was born January 30, 1949 to Walter Andrew and Eva Juanita (Armstrong) Shores at Coalgate. Donnie graduated from Coalgate High School and married Donna Duncan on October 26, 1967 at Coalgate. He was a rancher and enjoyed fishing, hunting and 4-wheeling in the mountains.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Rae Shores; sons, Kenny Shores and wife Rhonda of Tulsa, OK and Lenny Shores and wife, Julie of Granbury, TX; daughter, Summer Chiles and husband RJ of Coalgate; brother, Dwayne Shores and wife Janie of Kiowa, OK; sisters, Aloma Del Curtis of Legal, OK, Peggy Brightwell and husband Leonard of Shawnee, OK and Pam Sparks and husband Gary of Talihina, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Andrew and Eva Juanita (Armstrong) Shores; and brothers, Troy Dale Shores and Tony Gale Shores.
