Brian Taylor Dority

Funeral service for Brian Taylor Dority, a Coalgate resident, will be held Monday, December 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Bro. Eddie Hogue officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate is in charge of arrangements.

Brian was born April 21, 1968 to Andrew Taylor and Mary Etta (Nichols) Dority at Coalgate and passed away December 15, 2024 at Coalgate at the age of 56 years, 7 months and 24 days. He attended Coalgate High School. Brian was a prison guard at Mac Alford Correctional Facility. He had also worked at Coalgate Hospital doing maintenance work and had worked at Sonny’s Grocery. Brian was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed fishing, the casino and playing with his dog, Ghost.

Survivors include his sons, Preston Dority of Cottonwood, OK and Seth Dority of Phillips, OK; sister, Kelly Dority Lamb and husband David of Coalgate; nephews, Sean Dority and fiance Madison of Ada, Dylan Davidson and wife Katelynn of Pauls Valley, OK and Keith Tuck of Pauls Valley; niece, Lynn Riley and husband Andy of Ada; cousin, Donna Tuck and husband Mickey of Coalgate. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Taylor and Mary Etta (Nichols) Dority; brothers, Troy Dority, Thomas Dority and David Dority; and nephew, Klyford Troy Dority.
