Brenda June (Baumert) Pogue

Funeral services for Brenda June (Baumert) Pogue, a Coalgate resident, will be held Friday, December 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate is in charge of arrangements.

Brenda was born June 4, 1959 to Charles and Leah May (Rushing) Baumert at Coalgate and passed away December 1, 2018 at Coalgate at the age of 59 years, 5 months and 27 days. She attended Olney School and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1977. Brenda worked as a Home Health Aid and also raised dogs. She married Marvin Wolf Pogue and he preceded her in death on December 21, 1997. Brenda attended Cottonwood Baptist Church and enjoyed horses, gardening, fishing, painting and her beloved dog Portia.

Survivors include a daughter, Wendy Singleton of Pittsburg, OK; son, Dusty Pogue and wife Chelsea of Cairo, OK; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister Bridget Paxton and husband, Jimmy of Atoka, OK; along with other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Misty May Wright and Stormy “Bear” Barnett; brothers, John Bills and Joe Bills; and sister, Judy Bills.

Casketbearers will be David Stiles, Rodney McKinney, Leon Matthews, John Harriman, Darrin Wright, and Dalton Wright. Honorary bearers will be Jimmy Paxton, Caden Griffin, Gary Davis and Gary Breger.
