Anita Mae (LaFevers) Breed

Graveside services for Anita Mae (LaFevers) Breed, an Oklahoma City resident, were held Monday, June 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Centrahoma Cemetery with Rev. Jim Hodges officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Breed was born September 16, 1939 to Arnold David “A.D.” and Vicy Lillian (Ketcherside) LaFevers at Tupelo, OK and passed away May 29, 2023 at Norman, OK at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 13 days. She graduated from Tupelo High School Class of 1957 and was a housewife. Anita married Weldon Reece Breed in October 1959 at the Stonewall Freewill Baptist Church. They were together 22 years before his passing on February 12, 1983. Anita liked to paint, crochet and do needle point. She loved music and dancing and was very outgoing and loved people.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Breed Islam of Oklahoma City; granddaughter Brandi N. Breed of Oklahoma City; sister, Rowena Williford of Moore, OK; brother, Randell LaFevers and wife Barbara of Tupelo, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Reece Breed; parents, Arnold David “A.D.” and Vicy Lillian (Ketcherside) LaFevers; brother, Ralph LaFevers; sister, Flora McDonald-Bench.

Casketbearers were Gary LaFevers, Randell LaFevers, Patrick Vowell, David Vowell, Jim Hodges, and Steve Breed.
