Amy Jo (Carpenter) Simonson Passes Away

A memorial service for Amy Jo (Carpenter) Simonson, a Coalgate resident, will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Lyle Shipley officiating. Family night will be January 17, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate is in charge of arrangements.

Amy was born on February 26, 1978, to Paul Dennis and Janice Mae (Wolf) Carpenter at Beatrice, NE. She passed away on January 6, 2025, at her home in Coalgate, at the age of 46 years, 10 months and 11 days. Amy graduated from Beatrice High School in the Class of 1996. She was a loving mother and housewife. Amy married Kristopher Dale Simonson on February 28, 2003, at Coalgate. They enjoyed 21 years together before her passing. She liked crocheting, hunting and fishing. Amy enjoyed going to concerts and rodeos. Her favorite times were spent with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Kristopher Dale Simonson of the home in Coalgate, OK; sons, Caleb Simonson of Coalgate and Dominick Simonson and wife Caitlin of Oklahoma City; brother, Leon Breeding and partner Kim Isbell of Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Janice Carpenter.
