Allen Gene Buckley

Funeral services for Allen “Alanzo” Gene Buckley Jr., an Edmond, OK resident, were held Friday, July 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Ernest Rosas officiating. Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate was in charge of arrangements.

Allen was born January 11, 1971 to Allen Gene Buckley Sr. and Ruby Clara (Sioux) Cole at Downey, CA and passed away July 10, 2024 at Edmond, OK at the age of 53 years, 5 months and 29 days.

He graduated from Coalgate High School with the class of 1990. Allen worked at Sonny’s Grocery, at Wrangler doing leg fell, at Circle N and also worked as a ranch hand. He attended the Lone Star Church and liked listening to music, shooting guns and swimming. He enjoyed history.

Allen was an avid OU fan and liked wearing camo. He loved spending time with his family and having cookouts. Survivors include his mother, Ruby Cole of Coalgate; sister, Priscella Cole and husband, Romero of Pampa, TX; brothers, Preston Cole, Jr and wife Kim, Robert Buckley, Arthur Buckley, Tyrone Buckley, all of Coalgate; nephews and nieces, Tony Morales, Elizabeth Romero, Selena Romero, Alizaye Buckley, Tyson Buckley, Rhoda Buckley, Preston Cole III, Creed Pickens Cole, and Corinne Pickens Cole.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Gene Buckley, Sr.; stepfather, Preston Cole, Sr; nephews, Dominic Morales and an infant nephew.

Honorary casketbearers were Tony Morales, Preston Cole III, Tyson Buckley, Neil Turnbow, Jim Wilson and James Northcutt.
