David was born with Cerebral Palsy. He never walked. He was confined to a wheelchair his entire life. He also had a speech impediment that made it difficult to communicate. Although he faced many challenges in life, he was a fighter. David loved his family. He loved spending time at home during the holidays. He also loved his birthday celebrations and time with family and friends. He was loved by all who knew him. He was often called a sweetheart. David was an avid watcher of tv shows such as Adam-12 and Emergency. He loved Batman. He could tell you almost every NASA spaceship that orbited space and the astronauts on board, it was rumored when he lived at Enid State School, his favorite astronaut, John Glenn, heard about him and paid him a visit. David became a resident of Reliant Living Center of OKC on January 29, 1981, where he lived for 42 years. Prior to that, he was a resident at Enid state school. David is running with the angels in heaven, no longer bound with crippled legs and feet. He is eating fried chicken and gravy with mom and Kathy, no longer using a feeding tube for nutrition. He’s having conversations with Jesus and talking his ears off, no longer with a speech impediment, probably asking, why me, Lord? He is drawing and painting on canvas, his hands no longer crippled, he can see obstacles he couldn’t see before, no longer blind in his right eye. He is free. David was preceded in death by his mom Olean Trail, sister Kathy Trail. David is survived by his dad, Bob Trail of Jones; sister Rose Sanders and husband Alan of Choctaw; brother Mark Trail and wife Tammy of Choctaw, and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. David’s Funeral Service will be at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 10:00AM, with an interment at Coalgate Cemetery in Coalgate Oklahoma, at 2:00PM.

Read moreRonal “Whitey” Keith Collins, a Clarita resident, was born on September 18, 1945, to Edgar “Son” and Loraine (Brown) Collins, at Wapanucka, Oklahoma. He passed away on January 12, 2024 at Yukon, Oklahoma, at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 25 days. Whitey graduated from Olney High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He was an Industrial Arts and History teacher for 37 years. Whitey was a lifelong farmer and rancher. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. Whitey married Linda Sue Morgan on March 18, 1967, and of this union three sons were born. He later married Ann Nelson on October 5, 2012. She preceded him in death on April 22, 2014. He was a member of the Clarita Methodist Church. Whitey enjoyed fishing, which included feeding the catfish but catching the bass. He enjoyed farming and ranching. Whitey liked eating with his friends at the Community Center in Clarita on Mondays. He also liked to read the commissioners minutes each week in the Coalgate Record Register. Whitey loved spending time with his grandchildren.
