Voters in Coal County who want absentee ballots mailed to them for the April 2nd City of Coalgate Ward 3 and Ward 4, Coalgate and Atoka Schools Special Election and Allen Schools Board of Education General Election should apply now. Applications must be received by the County Election Board no later than 5:00 p.m. Monday, March 18.

As a part of YAHL they work with CounterAct Tobacco, which is an initiative working to move the power out of Big Tobacco’s hands into ours through comprehensive tobacco retail licensing. Nearly 90% of tobacco users started as minors. Kids are three times more sensitive to tobacco advertising than adults. Nearly 31% of Oklahoma high school students reported using tobacco products, including e-cigarettes. The youth epidemic is growing as numbers continue to rise. Oklahoma has the 4th highest youth smoking prevalence rate. Maci and Devin are adamant about helping to improve the health of youth in this community by sharing the knowledge they have received about tobacco products and how they affect our youth of today.
