Read moreThe Clarita Fire Department has completed the installation of two early warning storm sirens (commonly called tornado sirens) in the Clarita fire district of the Clarita-Olney area. The sirens are installed on 50-foot poles, and during threatening weather conditions will sound approximately three miles. They are equipped with solar panels that keep the batteries charged.
